Top my rock

why hello there

Here just to alleviate any future indiscretions. Post something that doesn't sound like these videos:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nUUTwLVr-bA

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tjpEfL18LpI

Not saying that there is anything wrong with any of these bands, or even the bands you guys have listed. I made the thread to get something new and hopefully different to listen to.

Ok, got the different right. Sounds pretty good, even the wife liked it. Only missing the "rock" component.

Almost there.

But I can post different and amazing stuff too:

These guys would make the most insane metal singers

Had to really search my music library for this. I haven't listened to these guys in almost 2 years.

^ crazy instrumental drum thing. "Hang drum".

i was more referring to you checking out Shawn Lane. He's a bitch to torrent though. Barely anything on youtube that isn't Live and shittily recorded.

Your music tastes and mine are pretty far apart. I'd take ladysmith black mombazo over any of this übershred mayhem any day of the week.

when i was more in to these screaming genres, I found a lot of good stuff at my local record store out of Norway. Emperor is probably better known. Metal always pisses me off because I can't understand what the fuck they are saying.

Dimmu Borgir:

I own this album, imo their best. I bought a couple others iirc but ended up trading them in.

As far as general Rock goes, an Endless Sporadic is pretty cool. Yeah, I found them on Guitar Hero, but I bought their album that was out at the time, and I have it somewhere... anyway. This is from their newer album I think, I don't recognize it.

a little out there but at least interesting. Some of their stuff is boring though, just from poking through youtube.

OK, this is my last attempt. If this doesn't appease you than nothing in my music library will. I hope you like it.

Didn't like the song you linked Janaria, but some of their other stuff is decent. (enter Shikari)

I've got some Dimmu Borgir just didn't get insane about them. Endless Sporadic wasn't bad but I can see it getting old real quick.

You guys are getting better though.

I'm pretty eclectic though, just a few things that I don't necessarily classify "rock" but still listen to:

Hank 3

Download Rico if you want to see the song where I got my name from. This is a buddies band, cowpunk is the genre

Hayseed motherfucking Dixie
2
Believe this is what broke them originally

I'm not just always angry white guy

Women with unique voices gives me a chubby - play this and you single guys will get some poon, guarantee

Highly recommend the compilations Music for our Mother Ocean

Yeah

Another good voiced woman, not as gay as BT similar genre I believe

I like Incubus, always thought this was a better song than Pardon Me. I still have the Fungus Amongus CD

That sounds nothing like Dimmu today.

I was going to post kyuss, but I know you already know that Tray.

Sleep or High On Fire might be something different though

Or for the instrumental rock, I'm currently digging the fuck out of Russian Circles

seriously tho all this shit being posted sounds the same, it's either the most terrible prog rock I've ever heard (which is tough because I generally love prog rock) or the most boring metal shit ever, I might have missed 1 or 2 gems but I seriously got tired of digging through the trash
