KMFDM is great, when they aren't busy bashing America.

OK Tray, these two bands are the best I got.

EDIT: The band in the first link have many songs of varying taste so don't judge them solely on the song I linked.

You guys are still somewhat not getting it, or I'm not explaining myself properly. I'm not looking for a band that's been around for years and has put out 12+ disks, because I've probably already heard them. Thinking I don't know of Incubus, 311, or KMFDM is a tad insulting. (KMFDM was better when people thought it stood for Kill Motherfucking Depeche Mode btw)

I was hoping for something fringe, something different. I used to listen to a shitload of Kyuss, and I loved them. Then I found out that they were what is called Doom or Sludge metal, and found other bands that I liked, like Electric Wizard. That is sort of what I'm talking about. I like some of the heavier stuff that Timos linked, and I like some of the stuff that he probably doesn't like. Not into Screamo, not into Cookie Monster metal (too much) You guys need to link what you like, as the "top my rock" thing is all subjective anyway, and I was thinking maybe we'd all find a band that we wouldn't have found otherwise.

If not I'll just keep letting Pandora find me new stuff, as she's been the best thing for me so far.

OK, these guys are pretty good, and fairly new, but I wouldn't be surprised if you have heard of them.

Huh? I'm pretty sure this thread was created so people could hear about what kind of music I like.

if you want good nerdy, go with the Protomen. If you want awful nerdy screaming, go with Horse the Band.

Torrent the jethro tull discography for days(weeks) of enjoyment. Especially the orchestral performance. Theres a really shitty quality youtube of it.

EDIT: I guess Yes would be closer to Rock though if you're only looking for that.

Tenebris do you really believe that me being of ripe old age that you guys like pointing out that I am, hasn't heard of either Jethro Tull or Yes? I guess you didn't click on my Grand Funk Railroad link earlier in the thread.

First link is a band that I think is pretty decent. Second link is Russian Rock and pretty fun to listen to, plus an emo dies.
